About

TAPLAK; It will contribute to raising the quality of education in the fields of design or planning in Turkey by carrying out accreditation, evaluation, and information studies for education and training programs operating in the fields of design or planning.

Who are we?

Founders

TAPLAK; was formed by combining the institutional efforts of two design and planning disciplines (with the cooperation of professional chambers and academia); in other words, the Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association was formed by the creation of a structure similar to MÜDEK. For this reason, the accreditation activities of three different disciplines are given below, and the document conveying the development process of TAPLAK is given below.

What are we doing?

In the Scientific Field;

  1. To carry out professional and academic studies related to the accreditation of education and training programs operating in the fields of design or planning in Turkey and the TRNC and to take part in activities carried out to support these studies,

  2. To carry out activities related to the accreditation of education programs operating in the fields of design or planning in Turkey and the TRNC,

  3. To carry out professional and academic studies related to the professional competence and competence of the graduates of education and training programs operating in the fields of design or planning in Turkey and the TRNC, and to take part in the activities carried out to support these studies, to carry out activities.

  4. To define the minimum quality assurance requirements in the offices opened by the graduates of education and training programs operating in the fields of design or planning in Turkey, to prepare strategic plans for these, to provide consultancy services in national and international accreditation and quality assurance processes related to all these activities, to carry out accreditation processes.

  5. To determine the criteria specific to the disciplines and general criteria such as "Students, Program Educational Objectives, Program Outcomes, Continuous Improvement, Education Plan, Teaching Staff, Infrastructure, Institutional Support and Financial Resources, Organization, and Decision-Making Processes" to be used within the scope of the program accreditation activities.

  6. To carry out the selection and training of evaluators who will take part in accreditation studies

  7. To ensure that the program evaluation criteria are determined, that the evaluation criteria and processes are reviewed and renewed when necessary by constantly monitoring the current and future needs of the program stakeholders in the field of design or planning,

  8. National and international courses, seminars, conferences, panels, workshops, etc., organizing meetings; to carry out certification, audit, and monitoring activities and to support studies within this scope.

In the Administrative Field;

  1. To cooperate with educational institutions and organizations, foundations, associations, public institutions and organizations, local administrations, professional organizations, and non-governmental organizations at home and abroad,

  2. Carrying out joint studies with public institutions and organizations on matters falling under their jurisdiction,

  3. Being a member of official and non-governmental institutions and organizations and higher structures abroad by carrying out international activities and/or working in partnership with these organizations,

  4. To ensure the establishment of national and international confederations, federations, unions, and similar superstructures or to participate in established structures, if deemed necessary for the realization of the objectives, to receive financial aid and/or financial assistance from these institutions and organizations in accordance with the provisions of the legislation,

  5. To establish or become a member of national and international official institutions and organizations, associations, and similar non-governmental organizations operating for similar purposes; the person, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation, to receive financial aid and/or financial assistance from these institutions and organizations,

  6. Platforms, assemblies, etc., to achieve a common goal with other associations, institutions, and organizations in areas related to their purpose. To form temporary associations and to take part in these associations,

  7. Opening representative offices at home and abroad,

In the Financial Field;

  1. To carry out fundraising activities, to accept donations and wills, provided that necessary permits are obtained from the country and abroad,

  2. Establishing and operating economic, commercial, and industrial enterprises to provide the revenues needed for the realization of the objectives,

  3. To establish and operate scientific, social, and cultural centers and facilities,  

  4. Buying, selling, renting, leasing movable and immovable property needed for activities and establishing absolute rights on immovables,

  5. To prepare national and international projects, to be a partner in the prepared projects, to accept grants for these projects, 

  6. To carry out scientific and technical studies on national and international activities, 

In the Field of Education and Documentation;

  1. In accordance with its purpose, to organize symposiums, panels, conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, competitions, and similar activities jointly or individually with actual people, official institutions and organizations, or private legal entities with direct or indirect authority or expertise on the subject. Or to participate in such activities, carry out educational studies,

  2. Creating Documentation Centers,

  3. Publishing periodicals and/or non-periodicals, brochures, booklets, books, documentaries, etc. To prepare and distribute all kinds of electronic publications such as publications and web pages, to issue study and information bulletins, to prepare printed and electronic, audio-visual materials related to the work area, to disseminate them by mail and e-mail,

In the Legal Field;

  1. To take legal initiatives, to make administrative and judicial applications, to file lawsuits, or to be involved in lawsuits, when necessary, regarding the accreditation of education and training programs operating in the fields of design or planning.
